Effimere

The film is an exploration of the world of Mayflies, very small insects that inhabit rivers and steam waters. These beings go mostly unnoticed because of their tiny size and their shy nature, but they have an important role in the ecosystem and in the study of waterways, as bioindicators. The images, mostly underwater, capture the environment in which they live, zooming them to be able to appreciate their unusual, almost alien forms, and explore a world that is almost invisible, but extremely rich. The documentary is an invitation to stop and to observe, to become more aware of the way we live with other forms of life in our planet. The footage was filmed in a stream in the Montevecchia Regional Park in the Curone Valley (LC)
